Everybody loves to sleep and sleep, particularly during winter. So why should the bed be a hard mattress offering less comforts? Make the bed comfortable and cozy by simply effecting a few changes.
Make sure there is adequate space inside the bedroom -- space that can allow you to relax and enjoy a sleeping session. Do not dump anything and everything on the bed other than yourself.
Buy a light weight spring mattress. Do not prefer a foam mattress. Most people find sleeping on foam mattress an unpleasant experience. People not used to sleeping on foam mattress experience body ache and it is not a nice way to begin the day. Spring mattress is good for body conditioning.
The mattress should be covered by soft linen and textiles. The bedspread too should be soft to touch. Choose pillows that can offer maximum comfort. Again, do not select a pillow which has synthetic cotton filling. Such pillows are known to generate heat and sleeping becomes unpleasant. Choose a pillow which has filling of natural cotton.
Ensure there is sufficient flow of air and penetration of light into the bedroom. This will brighten up the room. Keep a bed lamp close to the cot if you have the habit of reading before retiring.
