Simply Beautiful your home

Home beautification is an art which many of us would definitely like to know more when we are decorating our house. What we need to do is beautify our homes but not by spending huge money but small décor items which would really make our houses look good. If you are thinking of curtains for the bedroom here is what you can do. You can make curtains out of an old bedskirt and if made properly they can really look good. Two matching twin-size bedsheets can serve as curtains over the doors until you want to change them for the more affordable ones. They may not be your first choice, but they don't look bad and nobody ever realizes that they aren't real curtains.

If you are a true connoisseur of candles they can add to the beauty of your house in a great way. They add such a warmness and homeliness to a room. You can have candles in every room of your house. You can light one in the bathroom if you are taking a bath with your partner, and also you can light a candle in the kitchen or on the dinner table just to enjoy on a regular basis. Some candles aren't cheap but there are less expensive ones can be found at stores. Keeping in mind flammability and safety concerns, you can be creative with your candle holders. You can put them in crystal plates and even in teacups, jars or wide-mouthed glass vases. For the coffee table, you can buy an inexpensive white porcelein serving plate and arrange five pillar candles of different heights and complementary soft colors on the plate.

You should think about what's important to you and find a way to display them. Arrange smaller keepsakes in a shadowbox. You can have several themed shadowboxes around your house containing family heirlooms, like your mom's baby shoes and a picture of your mom as a baby, or little keepsakes from your own childhood. You can make a shadow box for containing flowers from your wedding bouquet and your wedding invitation. You can also have dried petals from roses you have received in a large glass jar. Things like these are so much more meaningful than knickknacks you just pick up at the store.

You need some patience in getting good pictures in frames. Hanging black and white pictures looks extra classy, instead of colored ones. It's very easy to get colored pictures scanned and converted to black and white if you want to . Try themed pictures in the different rooms. In your study, you can have a "travel" theme, and you can display framed maps and pictures from some of your travels in the past.

These are some of the ways in which you can beautify your homes. There are many other different ways in which you can beautify your homes and that it all depends on individual tastes.
